Rat City Rukkus Car Show 2016
Yesterday I was joined by my friend, SpiderElla and we made our way over to the annual Rat City Rukkus car show. The wind was out of control for the first half of the day and brought with it a chilly breeze. I, as usual, did not dress for the day and was chilly for most of the day.
We met up with a couple of SpiderElla's friends who were working a booth and spent a lot of time hanging with them. Sadly, I didn't really get any pictures of the cars as we were having too much fun chatting away.
We were able to make a loop through the car show and take a look at the amazing rods. The parking lot was full of hot rods, rat rods, and bikes. Listened to some rockin' bands and watched the pinup contest. Met the guys from Vegas Rat Rods on Discovery. I totally wanted to
Here are the small amount of photos from the day! Enjoy!

Lost in the 50's Spring Car Show 2016!

What's up, DudeBros!![]() |
I almost didn't make it to this show today! My friend, whom I was originally supposed to attend with, had a friend visiting and had to cancel. Luckily for me, my pal, Ricardo Montalbum likes muscle cars and enjoys car shows as well!
We arrived later than I had hoped -- but caught the very tail end of the pinup show when the winners were announced. I'm friends with the judges, Darby Fox and Sarah Vamp so I chatted with them after the contest for a bit and Darby introduced me to the winner, Ronnie von Sweets. I also ran into some other pinup pals of mine, Dee Dee Cupcake, Sydney Sparkles (The Aussie Plus Size Barbie), & Synthia Sterling. I even ran into a gal that recognized me from The Fedora Lounge! Hah! Can you believe that?!

I'm no Gene Tierney
I am no Gene Tierney, but this hair style is highly inspired by her hair. From what I could tell, Gene's hair was usually styled in simple waves with big curls at the end. Not the tight fluffy curls that I like to wear. I managed to style my hair like this in less than 2 hours. 1 hour being under the bonnet dryer and 10-15 mins putting the perm rods in. The rest of the time was brushing, styling, and scultping. It is quite a simple do to achieve, but not knowing if it would turn out, I didn't happen to take photos of the process. It was really simple to do, so I may do a video tutorial of it soon.
Anyway... I am Lolita Haze Not Gene Tierney. LOL
