Welcome

If Ginger Rogers had a saucy sister, it would be me. Blondie Rogers. My name is Lolita Haze and I am a Burlesque Stripper living in Phoenix, Arizona. Here I plan to blog about anything and everything that has to do with vintage in my life. Whether it be hair, fashion, or home decor it will be here. This will not only include parts of my personal life, but also my Burlesque life. I am not going to try to play catch up, I am just going to start from here and go...

Vintage Starlet is right!

Oh how I wish I had photos of the dress I put on layaway! I just bought a dress from Hollywood Regency Vintage and it is gorgeous! It is still on layaway so it will be a bit before I show photos, but wow. It is made of brown rayon crepe and has silver star shaped studs all over it. It firs PERFECTLY and has the original belt!

No I just need to find a pair of shoes to go with this gem! The brown isn't a normal brown that I could find matching shoes for, so I am going to have to figure out what color shoes go with it best. Plus a hat... I will need a hat too.

I like this dress because it can be worn as evening cocktail or fancy afternoon luncheon. Yay! I can't wait until it is paid off. Whoo hoo!!! Once it is mine mine... I will be taking photos! XOXOXO

If it has silver studs on it could you wear silver shoes?
It sounds amazing. I can't wait to see it!

I thought of that too, but I am thinking that silver shoes may be too distracting to the dress. Once I get the dress in my possesion I'll look for shoes. I actually think that a navy might work well.

I can't wait to show this dress. I am thinking about going into the store just to take a photo! Hehehehe.

It looked stunningly perfect on you...and I knew the second I saw it that it was yours, dammit. ;-D The stars are gold, though; that is why I thought those gold 40s wedges would look fabulous with it. Don't you have a brown hat already? A pancake style, I thought?

Once I get it steamed out it will look even better. We'll have to make another shoulder pad to match the existing one too. It's a lovely frock! I am VERY glad it is going to you and not anyone else! Xoxo

What kind of brown is it? I have a pair of mint 40s peep-toe platforms that are the colour of butterscotch. Suede, cut-outs over the toes, modern size 8 (I'm a size 6.5! Too big. :() - they need a good home.. for the right price, naturally!

Gold stars? Beautiful! There's nothing better than finding a vintage dress, trying it on, and knowing it was made for you only - even if it was a few years ago ;) It also makes me wonder what the lady (or ladies) who wore it were like.

Can't wait to see pictures - You have the best taste in clothes!

I always find brown and cream go hand in hand. P.S. Your blog is just too neat!
