Snoods from Arthelia's Attic

Every vintage girl needs a snood or two (or three or four or five). We all have our days of uncooperative hair or just plain laziness and snoods are the perfect way to dress up an otherwise ugly hair day. Snoods not only cover up the bad, but they can help protect the good hair on casual days and outings in nature. Best of all they can add a bit of glamour to an evening look. Whatever the mood, casual or glamour, snoods can be a girl's best friend.

You can imagine how happy and delighted I was when I was asked to model snoods from the glorious Arthelia's Attic on Etsy. Naomi's snoods are amazing. She crochets them from a vintage 40's pattern and adds a detachable bow (also made from vintage ribbon) for a wonderful and versatile look. The snood also has an elastic band for a perfect fit. If your hair is long or short, the snood will cradle your curls nicely. The best part about her snoods is that they don't slide! With just a couple bobby pins to secure into place, I don't have to worry about my snood falling out like I've experienced with inferior snoods.

So for a casual day out or a romantic evening in... get yourself a snood from Arthelia's Attic. She has a wide range of colors; perfect to match with your favourite outfits! Best of all... They're HANDMADE in the USA!

  6. I wasn't a huge fan of snoods till I saw them done with bows on top. I quite like them with the bow detail :) And they are definitely perfect for lazy hair days!

  7. Living Vintage... Thanks! So you know the great quality her snoods are! I've had cheap ones that slipped and snagged and just didn't hold. These are fantastic!

Miss Amethyst... Thank you!! I am so proud of Naomi for hand making such a delightful product. Well worth it! And in so many colors you're able to match with any wardrobe!

A Vintage Revival... Snoods are second only to flowers when it comes to great vintage looks that everyone can rock! First you'll find they are a bad hair day fall to, but then soon you'll be wearing them fashionably!

Isis... Yes do! If you are a bow fan like I am, the detachable bow is perfect to wear in your hair with a simple bobby pin or barrette! But when it comes to snoods, I much prefer Naomi's compared to the cheaper store bought brands. they are CHEAP-er for a reason. :(

IKKVT... Thank you. Aren't her snoods amazing?! Worth every penny in my opinion!

lovelypinup... I know what you mean, sometimes they look a bit too lunch lady without the bow. I've seen amazing non-lunch lady looking gals without the bow, but it's far and few between. I think I've almost worn just the bow more times than I have the snood! :)

  9. MJ McStabby... You won't be disappointed with these snoods, let me tell you! No worries about looking ridiculous if you don't style your front... snoods are a nice was to dress up casual that they look great with just brush backed hair. However, be careful not to wear the snood too close to your hairline... you'll end up looking like a lunch lady! Hah!
