How I get the main wave in my hair.

In my last posting I was asked how I got that main wave. Hopefully this photo will show how I do it. I just roll perm rods across my head in the same direction. Because my hair is all one length... or rather the "shortest" legnth is still below my chin, the wave will naturally form before the curly ends when being brushed out. Here I am wearing 6 rods, but I have achieved this with as little as 3. Good luck!

  3. Love it! I think I might go out and purchase a smaller set of hot rollers to try this.

  4. Thank you for this post. I am thinking I have been using too big of a curler and since my hair is pretty much one length as well, my larger curlers are barely giving me a dumpy wave! I'll round up some smaller ones this weekend and give it a try.
    Have a blast of a weekend :)

  5. Siren Sexy... How did it work for you?

AmandaAtkins... Ooh what are you going to be for Halloween? Make sure you practice before hand. :) You may have to alter it slightly to get it to work with your hair.

Glamourous Housewife... Yay! More perm rod converts! Hehehe Make sure you don't get them too small... it will create too tight of a curl and just end up a frizz ball.

C-Dot... I hope it worked for you!

Mrs Bee... Did the smaller ones work for you? I can't get bigger curlers to work with my hair. So instead I just brush brush brush out the smaller curls to create nice waves. Not like the main one here - a completely different style.

  6. I am still working on it...

It is there when I first take the curlers out, but then as I brush, it loses the wave :(

I will keep trying. Thanks for the help :)

  7. Try to hold the wave with your hand when you brush and use a comb to smooth it out. I don't know if this is a tried and true technique for most people in the world, but it helps me sometimes.
