Hair Chronicles

Here is a style I wore last week. I styled my hair before I bleached my roots so please forgive that faux pas. I also have no makeup on in the first photo so I am not looking too lovely, but included an "after" makeup shot to help make up for the hidiousness in the first photo. Not saying I am any great beauty in the second... ah hell nevermind. To the hair...

  1. I think you look beautiful in BOTH snaps. The hair is very nice too. I would love to see a back shot next time so I can really understand how you put it up. Also, did you use hot rollers or pin curls?

  2. Thanks. I always forget to take a shot of the back! I must start remembering to do that! If I remember correctly, I did a cold set with perm rods and dried it under the bonnet dryer for an hour.My hair is too thick to do proper pin curls and I have never had success with hot rollers (it straightens my hair oddly enough) but the plastic perm rods work great for me!

  5. Ha! I did a similar 'do while in England, but with the hairnet.

What product do you use when you do a set?

I had to use perm rods, was dreading sleeping in them... my hair came out really, really nice! I hardly had to brush it out to get the style I wanted.

  7. Bomshell... Thanks so much!

Betty Lou... Don't be fooled, there was a bit of post editing to get my face online approved! LOL

Tayva... Hah! How funny! I want to see photos. Sleeping in rods doesn't bother me one bit. Perry made a comment about it once too.

Fleur... Thank you! Had my skills? Lady, I wish I had yours!!!

  9. Thank you so much! The lipstick is actually a cheapy lipstick that is almost better than everything else I have used. It is NYC aptly named Retro Red. I apply it with a lip brush for best results.

  10. I love your colour!

Do you do it yourself? If so, what do you do?

I get my Mum to help with mine but I find that what might have worked well last time - doesn't this time because they have changed the instructions/formula/colour!

  11. So beautiful! I love the volume you get! Do you place those curls? Or do they fall so beautifully naturally?
