Vintage Message Boards

Are there any other vintage lifestyle message boards that are as indepth as the FL and The Cad? I am looking for more discussion on details versus personal opinions. For example, I want discussions on the 30's household... decor and design with photo examples, paint colors, reasons why things were popular... instead of, I really like the 30's home or I have my house painted like this.

  1. So you want more discussion of the original resources, is what you are saying? Amy Jeanne might be a good one to ask that.

  2. Honestly, I've not come across any.
It's all bollocks, if you ask me.
A bunch of people pretending and being judgemental and opinionated. I've nosed around quite a bit and have come up empty handed :-(

I know there was one that focused on 60s design, but that's the only one I've found like that, but no use to me.

  3. Maybe you should start such a community from scratch, I don't do many message boards as I take offense too easily at times and can't be doing with people seemingly telling me what to do!

  4. Hmm... That stinks that there isn't another community. Unfortunately I am too lazy to start my own. It is too much work to moderate. LOL Thanks gals!

  5. I can't think of any, either, sorry. queensofvintage.ning.com is a general message board for all things vintage but I don't do message boards very much. Sorry!

  6. I have a lot of art deco items in my etsy shop as the 1930s is one of my fave periods. I am planning to have more items and am always on the hunt for them. Whenever I list an item I always try to give an insight as to when, why and what for taking account of design styles etc. I am always researching!
