Perhaps I am just cunty or maybe I am just tired of seeing BAD vintage hair, but I started a blog to spotlight those out there who have gone through the trials and tribulations and now know what good vintage hair is. I JUST created it, so it is still in the building process... in fact not a post has been made yet... but yeah... I want to get together a small group of gals who are respected for their styling abilities just to weigh in on any potential posts. So in the meantime... til I start posting... here is the URL:
Vintage Hair Elite
I am excited to see some 'good' hair. Personally, I have no idea what I am doing, so I consider myself in 'practice' mode. I also like to mix up decades, so I might wear a 50's dress and 60's hair. I would like to see how the "professionals" do it.
ReplyDeleteThanks doll,
The Glamorous Housewife
For now it won't be about slagging off bad hair, just seperate the good from the bad and Ugly. LOL It also isn't about shooting down those who are learning or are trying, but rather just shutting up those who think their hair is great when it really isn't.
ReplyDeleteThere better not be any bowl-cut beaver-chewed messes up on this new site, Lolita! I have high expectations!
ReplyDeleteHehehehe All posts have to be approved as good... No attempts, no trials, no beginners, no bowl cuts Hahahah I am on to you Ms Eel! :-D
ReplyDeleteAre you going to have how-to's, too? That would be swell. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope eventually we will provide tutorials, but for now we will just showcase good hair. :-D
ReplyDeleteI'm following now and eager to see back to back goodness instead of a whole bunch of hot messes for a change!
ReplyDeleteHahaha Now I hope not to disappoint. :-D Of course the postings won't be as frequent as another group... it will be more scrutinized... is that the right word?
ReplyDeletegood idea! look forwards to reading many great posts.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you're talking about sister and I can't wait till you get going so I can stop seeing...
ReplyDelete..posts about whether a community member should cut "bettie" bangs and look at my "vintage" hair that really has nothing vintage about it! Oh GOD some of those gals scare the crap outta me!
Wow, what a sarcastic bitch I am!
I hear ya about 'good' hair. I'm tired of just seeing bangs and bandanas....*yawn*.
ReplyDeleteI would love to learn how to do those really smooth rolls. I don't want to cut bangs into my hair, but I'd love to faux vintage ones. Do you have tutorials up anywhere else?
ReplyDeleteIts going to be a slow build this blog, but we are all excited for it! I think most of us are tired of weeding throught the bad to see the good. Even though most of us will already be familiar with most of the styles on the blog, it is just a nice way of putting it all together in one place.
ReplyDeleteRedTheda... There is a basic tutorial I did for faux bangs floating around cyber space somewhere, but I am not sure where it is. Someone reposted it once. I caught it some time ago and shrilled at my own horridness of the tutorial. I suppose the basic techniques are the same, but the outcome was... eep!
