The man had the hottest chemistry with all his leading ladies. He was the love of Harlow's life and treated her very well. If you have caught some more of his movies, you have got to appreciate how good looking and sexier the more you watch him. Their are some professional pictures of him from the 20s that are absolutely stunning.cchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00910950473780065745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6835147841592512804.post-89452462276098456212009-03-13T04:56:00.000-07:002009-03-13T04:56:00.000-07:00you should see "the thin man"-movies, so great!you should see "the thin man"-movies, so great!B-b-b-ettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06831817761031531764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6835147841592512804.post-20273021460261922222009-03-04T08:21:00.000-07:002009-03-04T08:21:00.000-07:00I can't believe you haven't seen "My Man Godfrey" ...I can't believe you haven't seen "My Man Godfrey" with him and Carole Lombard. It is the BEST! I always liked him-he was such a down to earth fella, and a really good actor. I see a William Powell Film Festival in our future!Redhead Sadiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07114807440333867098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6835147841592512804.post-31167447954469365072009-03-03T20:04:00.000-07:002009-03-03T20:04:00.000-07:00That's such a cute pic! That's such a cute pic!PinkJamiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06213734630560072866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6835147841592512804.post-41105366395651415392009-03-02T18:24:00.000-07:002009-03-02T18:24:00.000-07:00Oh you MUST see "The thin man." It is soo good. It's one of my favorites. It's out on DVD too so that makes it that much easier to get a hold of. Now I want to watch it.... Hope you get a chance to see it soon. Also there are many sequels but I have not seen them all.Betty Boogiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12409769676515192739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6835147841592512804.post-74902516637087274042009-03-02T17:19:00.000-07:002009-03-02T17:19:00.000-07:00You never saw The Thin Man?! Gosh, William Powell's Nick Charles is one of the reasons I've never been married--he ruined other men for me. :-(

WP wasn't classically good-looking, but he was soooo damn sexy (esp. w/Myrna Loy). I love him as an actor--I haven't read much about him as a man though. I know Carole Lombard (his former wife) made fun of him for reading the dictionary so he'd sound smart. As far as Jean goes, I don't think he wanted to marry her, and they say she'd gotten pregnant by him & he wouldn't marry her, so she had an abortion. I guess they might have married later, had she lived.adminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13475464273497987868noreply@blogger.com
